Sound in
screenshare

Updated May 8, 2026

Our "Allow audio in screen sharing" feature enables you to share your system sound with your participants via the screen sharing function.

To transmit audio during screen sharing, follow these steps:

Accessing Room Settings:
Go to the room settings in the bottom right.

2. Enable the audio option:
Check the box next to the “Allow audio during screen sharing” option. This allows you to transmit audio while screen sharing.

3. Prepare screen sharing:
Click the screen-sharing icon, which is located in the center of the bottom of the screen in the “Content” drop-down menu. Then click the “Share” button.

4. Select what you want to share:
A window will appear where you can select either a specific browser tab or a window that you want to share.

5. Enable audio transmission:
Below the window where you make your selection, you will find a checkbox. Here, select either "Share system audio" or "Share tab audio," depending on which audio source you wish to transmit.

6. Start screen sharing:
Click the "Share" button to start screen sharing with audio.

Note: Currently, only recent versions of Google Chrome support this feature. Furthermore, because system audio is being transmitted, feedback effects may occur if your microphone is active. Therefore, please deactivate your microphone when using this feature.
